We recommend taking your multivitamin right after a meal. Taking a multivitamin on an empty stomach can cause nausea or digestive discomfort. We recommend swallowing it with a sip of water, herbal tea or a sugar-free drink.
Avoid taking your multivitamin with milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, drinking yogurt or calcium supplement. Make sure there is at least 2 hours between taking the multivitamin and any calcium or dairy product. Dairy contains calcium, and calcium prevents you from absorbing iron properly. A little dairy, such as milk in coffee, is not a problem.
